I was sent these little sayings yesterday, and at the moment they mean a lot to me.
1. Life is too short to wake up with regrets, so love the people who treat you right, but also love the ones who don't because you CAN! Love can change people.
2. Believe everything happens for a reason, because it does!
3. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
4. If it changes your life, let it!
5. Kiss slowly.
6. Forgive quickly.
7. God never said life would be easy, He just promised it would be worth it.
I learned this the hard way. Spent too many years immersed and embroiled in regrets, hounded by depression, and fatigued by anger and bitterness. One day I received a wakeup call. It came in the form of a divorce. I figured out that I could CHOOSE to love anyway, and that there was nothing anyone could do to take that away from me. It may have kept me sane in the months that followed.
ReplyDeleteI know everything happens for a reason, I do not believe in simple chance. I have the opportunity for second chances now, and to be honest, not sure I want to go back there. But, if it is God's will, I know it will happen whether I want it to or not. I am just thankful for the healing I have witnessed in my life and in others, all because of love.
Life certainly does teach us painful lessons. I, myself, have also learned the hard way. I truly believe things happen for a reason too, even the bad things. I also believe you cross paths with people for a reason. I recently went through something that was painful, yet it changed me forever in a good way. I am not hanging on to anger or regret about it - I choose love and forgivenss as well.
